(TheWeatherSpace.com) - Happening on average of 10 times per solar cycle, a S3 radiation storm is the Space Prediction Center at NOAA's way of determining the strength of radiation caused by solar storms.

According to NOAA, this is a strong storm. In a biological standpoint one could expect radiation hazard for astronauts on EVA and passengers and crew in high flying aircraft.

Satellite disruption is going to be expected, probably occurring now. In addition to that, electronic devices and computers may reboot on their own.

But hang on to your hats and computers, a stronger solar storm is coming on Wednesday into Thursday with 'nearly' an X-Class solar flare event.
