(TheWeatherSpace.com) - A Coronal Mass Ejection from Thursday has arrived and the Earth's magnetic field is taking a beating. Aurora displays are likely through the next 24 hours.

The Bz has gone negative today, opening a crack in the Interplanetary Magnetic Field.
Bright northern and southern lights are now possible.

If it is clear where you are and you live in the middle to upper latitudes, step outside and see if you can catch the lights.

This was caused by numerous M-Class solar flares last week, shooting material off into space toward the planet.
