TheWeatherSpace.com has issued TWS Severe Thunderstorm Watch 51
Effective now through tonight/wed morning
Issued Jun 4, 2024 – 9:05 p.m. CDT

stw051

Judging by activity in the Western side of the box where severe thunderstorms are at now, this is an MCS developing so additional severe thunderstorms will be likely through the night across a large part of KS/OK, with hail/wind being the primary threat.

However, in the western portions of the watch box we may get isolated tornado activity.

So, I am here in Jefferson County KS. Right in between watches #51 and #52. Is this to say we won’t get anything, or is it to say the storms will move out of the two watch boxes and diminish in intensity as they pass by?

Thinking they’ll split with one part north of there and one south of there … and/or weaken below severe limits before hitting that area.
