TheWeatherSpace.com has issued TWS Enhanced Tornado Watch 003
Effective this afternoon through evening
Issued May 29, 2024 – 12:00 p.m. CDT
The dryline is clear and ready to fire across Western Kansas. Upper level dynamics favor explosive development in-which storms will be capable of producing violent tornadoes today.
A marginally strong upper level jet in the area is setting up the dryline with an additional lifting source … upper level divergence. SBCAPE along the dryline is in excess of 3000 j k/g with bulk shear values up over 40-50 kt, which supports supercell development. Will add an additional tornado watch north of there to Northwest Kansas northward but at the time the largest tornadoes with the most discreet supercell chances will remain along this dryline.
Storms will march from the Texas Panhandle and Western Kansas zones eastward with time and if they can remain discreet they’ll be heading into even stronger tornado dynamics.
