Another day of strong tornadoes has produced a tornado that has done tremendous damage in Southern Moore, Oklahoma. Senior Meteorologist Kevin Martin thinks it might be an EF5.

“This tornado has a debris field of two miles wide,” said Martin. The image I shared on TheWeatherSpace.com Facebook Page. The images of homes, businesses, and schools suggests this is going to be classified as an EF5 tornado. It took a similar path into Moore as the May 1999 tornado.”

Over 75 children and teachers were sheltered at Plaza Towers Elementary School, and there is nothing left of the school. This tornado will likely bring a lot of fatalities.

TWS Tornado Watch 16 was issued three hours before the storm hit the area. Viewers of TheWeatherSpace.com has plenty of time to know this was going to happen and we hope you are safe.

TWS Tornado Watch 16 extends through Missouri as well, with tornadic cells moving through Oklahoma into that area over the evening and night, including Northwest Arkansas.

“Another day of tornadoes tomorrow for parts of the state, including Northeast Texas and into Arkansas,” said Martin. “This is going to be the focus for Tuesday and as always TheWeatherSpace.com will be tracking it.”

Last month, Martin released a warning to the people of the plains that outbreaks would happen. It has, and it is time to start spreading the word that TheWeatherSpace.com exists and that the work here is lifesaving.

It’s not an easy job you do, but you do it so well! Although the result of that EF5 is so heartbreaking, I know your prompt & expedited forecasts & watch/warnings saved lives & many more would have died without your dedication & dedications of the fine team at TWS!!! Thank You so much!!!
