TheWeatherSpace.com has issued TWS Severe Thunderstorm Watch 024
Effective now through tonight
Issued May 9, 2024 – 7:10 p.m. CDT
Storms ejecting out of Texas’ TWS Severe Thunderstorm Watch 023 will continue moving eastward across the area. Surface based instability + lifting should be enough for wind/hail threats with this system through tonight.
Storms are already firing across the boxed area, but have remained sub-severe … but will become severe very shortly.

Last night, 2:30am in northeast Houston TX area, we had a really violent thunderstorm and the intensity lasted for at least an hour. This may have been my worst thunderstorm ever and I was mystified by the fact that it appeared to be hovering right over our house and did not move — really weird.
