TheWeatherSpace.com has issued TWS Severe Thunderstorm Watch 019
Effective this afternoon through evening
Issued May 7, 2024 – 1:30 p.m. CDT
The dryline will be located in the Western KS/OK regions, into the Texas Panhandle this afternoon and evening. Moisture return looks very weak at the surface, but above around say 7,000 feet we do have some to work with. This means that the primary threat due to the higher bases will be large hail and damaging winds.
Latest Satellite images confirm growing towering cumulus clouds in Southwest Kansas, which should be the focal point of additional development through the rest of the afternoon and evening. Storm motion should be to the east-southeast, from Kansas into the Oklahoma Panhandle and eventually toward Woodward, OK later on.

Hello, just joined your site , thanks for offering it.
I’m a perennial grower , I work in greenhouses and the weather is something that I monitor daily and have been for several years
But lately the forecasts from mainstream sites , even NOAA have been completely wrong , even as little as 24 hours out. To my knowledge I have never experienced inaccuracy of this magnitude before .
Have any ideas as to why this may be so? Love to hear your thoughts if you have any.
Thanks
Laura
The atmosphere is changing it seems, seasons are extending … so the weather models are having a tough time predicting what will happen. Basically they are blind and not forecasting, but more nowcasting.
